Upon the information gathered so far about the incident which took place at Kasoa, a military officer, thought to be in hiwas fatally shot, and two colleagues narrowly escaped death after an individual, allegedly a sub-chief or a national security officer at Millennium City, fired at them outside the Millennium City District Police Command.
The sibling of one officer had bought land for them from Winnebo Ndego. However, efforts to develop it faced opposition from a group led by someone named Fifi. Recently, the deceased officer and his companions visited the land to assess the situation and seek a resolution after reporting the issue to the Millennium City District Police Command.
Upon their arrival, they found another group working on the land and they instructed them to stop work, and then headed to the police command to file another complaint. Chiefs involved in the dispute followed them, but were told the case had been transferred to the Central East Regional Police Command. The officers decided to follow up at to the CentralEast Regional PoliceCommand.
As they left for the Central East Regional Police Command, Benlord Ababio, the person in charge of duties at the Kitchen of a Chief of Millennium City ordered them to stop. When they didn’t comply, Ababio, also known as Nana Ben, fired at their vehicle. One officer died, while the other two escaped unharmed.
By efforts made by the Ghana Police Service, they were able to arrest the culprit named Benlord Ababio who was in connection with the shooting incident. Below is the Ghana Police Statement about the arrest
