A Metro Mass bus traveling from Kaneshie ignited into flames on the way to Obuasi-Dunkwa. Passengers in the bus detected smoke from the luggage area, discovering acid and several packs of marijuana inside the bus luggage area. Emergency services and law enforcement contained the incident, with the police seizing the marijuana parcels. The bus driver has been unable to give clear details about the presence of illegal and unlawful substances in the public bus.
